Hello to all our great Chamber members! We are pleased to announce the newest venture from your Chamber, which is the Edmonson County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund!

Two deserving Edmonson County High School students will receive a $1000 scholarship, beginning in the 2025-26 school year. Some of the criteria includes excelling in the classroom in business, marketing, and entrepreneurship, as well as vocational areas offered at ECHS, like welding, mechanics, engineering, woodworking, and more.

Additionally, a student may also qualify if they have created or had a part in the creation of their own business or entrepreneurship path!

The Chamber's goal is to promote commerce, our local economy, and entrepreneurship in Edmonson County, and we feel there is no better way to do that than helping a young person in their business goals.

Even though the scholarships won't begin until the next school year, we are still utilizing those funds this year by awarding two different $1000 grants to ECHS to be used in both the vocational and business departments as needed.

We plan to get things started this Saturday, May 17th at Shady Hollow Golf Club in Cub Run, a proud Chamber member, locally owned and operated, where we will host our first-ever scholarship benefit event. Be sure to check the homepage of our site for all the details, where over $1500 in cash and prizes will be awarded.

This event couldn't happen without the support from one of our Silver Members, Warren RECC, who is the title sponsor for this event in partnership with NCTC Fiber!

Thanks again to all our great members for your support as always and we are always happy to help you any way that we can.

Respectfully,
Darren Doyle,
Board President
